Asbestos Compliance
Compliance is built in to our asbestos removal process.
- SafeworkSA is notified of the removal.
- Air quality is monitored by independent assessors throughout the removal.
- Final air quality is checked after the removal.
- A final clearance certificate is issued once the site has passed all checks.
Burnt Asbestos Removal
During a fire, the amount of asbestos fibres released into the air is relatively low. Air monitoring during and after fires has confirmed this.
HOWEVER, after a fire, pieces of asbestos cement materials can become brittle and may release fibres if they are disturbed while cleaning up.
We have experience in cleaning burnt sites and stress that the site should remain undisturbed until the burnt asbestos has been safely removed.
